My boyfriend just got a bmw 3 series convertible 2004 reg as a company car. It didn’t come with a manual and we cant figure out how to take the roof down. Please help.
Does the car need to be switched off?
i have a 2003 3 series convertible.

i just push and hold a button and it goes down.
the button is located right under the cig lighter
closesst to the drive and above the shifter

There should be a latch on each side of the top where it comes in contact with the window frame. Unlock those and put you windows down and push the button that moves the top.
I think you can download the manual online I did a quick search for it.

I think BMW stooped using latches in.. cant remember, but thats so ancient. Look for a button on the center console., close to the cig lighter. And the car needs to be on, you dont have to start the engine
