they are both saloons and both go up to 5L engines…….which cost similar…..

well the 5-series is an adveridge size but the 7-series is a boot is longer so the difference is in size but i think that the 7-series has more power and it has a biger petrol engine!

I have a badd O2 sensor but don’t know which one and the dealer is telling me I have to bring it in for them to scan and blah blah blah but you all know how they do. I know it’s the sensor but don’t know which one.

You have two sensors under your car. One before your catalytic and one after it. Go to Auto Zone and they will scan you for free. Then they will tell you which one is bad. Don’t buy an aftermarket sensor. Buy it at your local dealer.you can change it by yourself.

I am a mechanic and I am gonna do a friends brakes(rotors, pads) and he also needs the tie rod ends done. He has a 2001 bmw 740li.
Does anyone know where I can get aftermarket parts for it? I am used to working on audi’s so I am not exactly sure where to get bmw stuff. He needs the pads with the sensors in them.

Is a 2003 BMW X5 parts pricey? Do the bmw dealers charge a lot per-hour to work on the X5’s?

I have a 2002 X5 4.4i. Expect to pay $100-$120/hour at the dealer or $80/hour at an independent shop. All parts will be marked up a minimum of 100%. So that water pump they sell you at $450 is only costing them $225.

Depending on the year I would advertise it for parting out. Junkyards will give you nothing.
