There’s a person with a set of tires and rims that came off a bmw E39 5 Series and the tires are the same size as mine but I’m not sure if the rim will fit on my car.

I think they are daytime running lights? I think they are orange and White in colour if anyone can advise me? Thank you
UK. However this has nothing to do with lighting regs. All 5 series have these lights. If you look at the main beam light , look above it. You should see a small row of tiny bulbs, how do you switch them

they come on automatically when the headlights are on. they are little orange LED lights. i think there is 4 or 5 on each side. if they are not on they might be broken cause you don’t have to turn them on separately

I have been looking at the new generation (2006-Present) of Volkswagen Passats. I have heard some really good things about the make and I really like the looks of them. What do you know about the volkswagen Passat? Should I get one?

I just saw a Passat 4 Motion V6 FSI a while ago and I went all Ga Ga … They’re sensible, beautiful and German.

I’m thinking about purchasing a 75 Audi 100LS locally for what I considered the cheap price of $700. From what I’ve heard online, they aren’t too spectacular a car. I’ve been doing a little parts shopping and found that some parts are IMPOSSIBLE to find! Namely the inboard brake rotors…

What would you do if it needed rotors?! I found calipers, pads, shoes etc., but no rotors, drums, hardware, etc. I’m seriously considering buying a destroyed accord instead just because of the impossibility of finding parts!

Has anyone got any connections with an classic audi parts catellog or anything?
I can’t find anything on ebay… well, except brake pads that I can get from the local parts store… The only thing I could find was a master cylinder, brake pads/shoes, and brake calipers. No hits on any kind of exhaust, bushings, interior, engine parts, brake rotors, etc…

Looking at buying a 5 series but wondering if its worth waiting for the new model to be realeased as hopefully prices will drop on the older models.

I’m not a big sales specialist but I do know that even with a new model entering the market, the price on the previous models doesn’t drop a lot.
So if you find a good deal on the car that you want, take it.

Its a 2001 (X reg) and i cant find a button or anything to turn off the passenger airbag!! I have a baby so i need to turn t off!

The manual says nothing.

Please please help!!!

Done it now, oh and it says in the vw manual to put children under 6 months in the passenger seat so you are all wrong im afraid. It also says if your travelling alone you should put it in the front so you can keep an eye on it if its choking etc.

The front passenger’s airbag unit can be deactivated to enable the use of a rear facing child’s seat on the front passenger seat. There are two possible ways to do this on this model. Both involve a trip to your local Volkswagen dealer. One way is for Volkswagen to use there diagnostic machine to recode the airbag electronic control unit, a sticker then has to be displayed that is visible from the passenger seat to warn adult passengers that the air bag is inactive. The other way that may be required is to fit a disconnection kit, supplied by Volkswagen; again a sticker has to be displayed.
As soon as the child seat is no longer required, the front passenger’s airbag should be reactivated.
Please also note that you have to sign a form saying you have authorised this work and take responsibility for it. The service book is also marked to say the air bag has been disconnected with date it was disconnected. When it is reconnected this is also recorded. The information is also recorded in the service history held by volkswagen.
