The 3rd gen MMI found in Audi’s new flagship sedan is noting if not phenomenal. It’s clearly the leader of the pack in the multi media interface department. The interior itself retains audi’s traditional top notch interior, and you will hardly find any plastic in the A8. With new handwriting recognition software built in you can now use the touchscreen to write out destinations, which makes destination entry much easier.
The music interface looks like it was inspired by apple’s cover flow system and is really intuitive and easy to use. Of course the Bang & Olufsen sound sytem is like being in a symphony hall with something like 1400 watts at your disposal. Using the Nvdia graphics chip makes the navigation system display higher res graphics with more building detail. You can really go on and on about they MMI, but if you have not played with it yet you will want to when you can find one available in your area. If your a techno geek you will love the system, but you don’t have to carry a BA in computer science to use the system so it will work as well for the less techno savvy users as well.
