Er… not much left to say, what kind of oil does a 99 VW Passat use?

Use synthetic Castrol 5w40 or Mobil1. 5w30-5w40 when You have a turbo

    Same as any other car. Can get it at Wal-Mart. 10-30 should do for most instances.

    These vehicles require synthetic 5-30/5-40 oil! And also use the proper oil filter! These engines will sludge up if proper oil and filter are not used!
